Fantastic location in an olive grove with views over the surrounding hills. Comfortable and well equipped apartment. Nice and friendly owners with whom you can communicate in English. Recommend.

We spent a week at Casale Aronne in mid October. It was very quiet - we almost had the place to ourselves. Very private and peaceful. It is close enough to Massa Marittima for dinner or lunch or exploring but not close enough to nip in for fresh bread for breakfast. But it is far enough away to be incredibly relaxing. Surrounding countryside is beautiful - it is Tuscany after all. We would definitely return early or late season when it is quiet. If all the apartments were occupied I think it would lose it's main asset - tranquility.
Casale Aronne is self catering. But the cutlery and crockery were cheap and minimal. There was no salt and pepper or washing up liquid or soap or any of the other bits and pieces that you might expect.
